I had the pleasure of running an embossed print workshop as part of a Zines for Well being course at Wolverhampton Art Gallery in connection with The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity.
I had the pleasure of working with a lovely group of people, this workshop attracted a diverse audience, with people from different backgrounds, ages and creative experiences.
I started by taking the group on a tour a several of the galleries exhibitions, that I felt would translate well into Embossed Printmaking. For some people this was there first time in a gallery and others clearly had in-depth knowledge of art history.
The group were incredibly experimental with the printmaking processes and created wonderful results and wanted to carry on making.
I hope this project gets fututre funding, it has introduced new people to art galleries and given them t
he confidence to explore them further and developed a range of creative skills, whilst making friends.
